What you will receive:
Discover your acting potential in Script-To-Stage, where you'll develop foundational acting techniques while rehearsing excerpts from a play that features many small scenes. This unique class gives actors the perfect opportunity to hone your craft in a supportive and judgement-free environment. Throughout each rehearsal, you’ll focus on fully engaging in your scenes, being a supportive scene partner, and learning to take direction effectively. The course culminates in a public performance on the final day.

Breakdown:
Each week will be a rehearsal (in a class context) for the scenes in the play.
Meet Your Instructor
Kara Cantrell she/her
Kara Cantrell is an actress, improviser, director, producer, and theatre educator. She holds an MFA in acting from the University of Georgia, a BFA in acting from Western Kentucky University, and is a Certified Teacher of the Michael Chekhov Technique of acting via the National Michael Chekhov Association. She has appeared on stage with Stage Door Players, Theatre in the Square, Actor's Express, Synchronicity Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Jewish Theatre of the South, Arís Theatre, and Impulse Repertory Co. She has appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Logan Lucky, and Allegiant as well as national commercial spots, and several industrials. Kara has taught acting and performance studies at the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of Georgia, Georgia Perimeter College, and Kennesaw State University.
