Accessibility

What we are doing to make MK Performing Arts usable for everyone, what we know is still outstanding, and how to reach a person if something is in your way.

Our Commitment

MK Performing Arts wants everyone to be able to find a coach, book a lesson, pay, and manage their account — and to be able to stop lessons just as easily as they started them. That applies to people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, using magnification, or relying on captions.

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA as our engineering standard. We have not completed a full independent audit against that standard, so we describe it as our target rather than claiming we have met it everywhere.

What We Are Doing

  • Building the booking, sign-up, checkout, and cancellation paths so they can be completed with a keyboard alone and read correctly by a screen reader.
  • Giving every form field a real label, and pairing error messages with the field they belong to.
  • Keeping a visible focus outline so keyboard users can always see where they are.
  • Providing meaningful alternative text for images that carry information.
  • Respecting the reduced-motion setting for people who find movement uncomfortable.
  • Making sure the site remains usable when text is enlarged and on small screens.
  • Treating an accessibility defect in a booking, payment, or cancellation path as a priority fix rather than a backlog item.

Where We Know We Have Work To Do

Some parts of the site embed forms and content provided by other companies — for example our scheduling and form tools — and we do not control their code. Where one of those creates a barrier, we will help you complete the same task another way, and we raise it with the supplier.

Older blog posts and video content may not yet have full captions or transcripts. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.

Tell Us About a Barrier

If any part of this website, our platform, or our studio is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email hello@mkperformingarts.com or call (770) 615-6572. It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened — but tell us either way.

We aim to acknowledge every report within 3 business days, tell you how we intend to fix it, and give you a way to complete what you were doing in the meantime.

Requesting an Accommodation

We also want to hear from you before you enroll if there is something that would make lessons work better for a student — a communication preference, a physical need in the studio, or an adjustment to how a lesson runs. Contact us at hello@mkperformingarts.com or (770) 615-6572 and we will talk it through.

Our studio is at 1640 Roswell Street Southeast, Suite G, Smyrna, GA 30080. Tell us what you need for a visit and we will make arrangements in advance.
