What to expect

Inside Script to Stage

We start on the page: what the script actually says, what your character wants, and where the scene turns. Then we get it up — blocking, rehearsal, notes, and repetition until it's yours. The curriculum is built around the group that shows up: script complexity, pacing, and how much guidance you get are set to match the room, so a first-timer and someone with a few credits can work in the same rehearsal without either one being lost or bored. The eight weeks end in performance.

By the end

Students will

Read a script for what it's actually telling you to do
Break a scene into beats and find where it turns
Make specific choices about what your character wants
Learn blocking, and why the movement is part of the storytelling
Rehearse the same material until it's repeatable, not lucky
Take a note, apply it, and run it again
Perform the finished piece

Who should enroll?

Beginners through intermediate performers. Anyone who wants to know how a script becomes a performance instead of guessing at it. First-timers are welcome — the material and the pacing are chosen for the group, so you'll be worked at your level, not thrown in over your head. Taking Adult Improv too? The two together are $299 instead of $328 — the classes run back to back on the same Sundays.
