What to expect

Inside “Yes, And!” Youth Improv

Every class is on its feet. Students play improv games, build scenes together, and learn the three habits that make improv work: listen, agree, add something. The roster is capped at six, so every kid gets real stage time and real coaching every week — not a seat in the back of a crowded room. It's loud and it's funny, and it's still training: the games get harder as the eight weeks go on.

By the end

Students will

Play the core improv games — and learn why the rules make them work
Practice “yes, and” — building on a partner's idea instead of blocking it
Make bold choices quickly, out loud, in front of people
Build characters and whole scenes with no script to hide behind
Work as an ensemble, so nobody has to carry a scene alone
Get comfortable being wrong in a room where that's the point

Who should enroll?

Kids ages 9 to 13 — the natural hams and the shy scene-stealers-in-training both. No experience needed. If your kid already performs, improv sharpens the instincts. If your kid has never been on a stage, this is the lowest-pressure door in: nothing to memorize, and no wrong line.
